Project summary
When I was approced by a past team member and asked if I wanted to be an animator as part of a small game team over the summer, I was flattered and excited to start on another project!
I joined Fairsoul to help create a game called Quantum Quarrel. Quantum Quarrel is based heavily around GMod's Trouble in Terrorist Town, but with a timetaveling/interdimentional/retro future twist! A big part of my time (so far) on this project has been creating the team lead's style vision. Majority of the assests in the game have a very precice 1970 retro future look and feel to them. So it was very important to get these aspect designed correctly. At first I was given tech props to design, then I was quickly moved on to character model's and cosmetics - since we already had 2 other artists working on tech.
Although I was originally recuritied as an animator, as the projcet was just starting, my first tasks were all concept art and research related. As time pushed on, and life kept throwing curve balls, I evntually had to tempoarrly opt out of the project to return to studies. Irocnically, this was around the exact time I was finally going to get animating. However, based of converations I've had with the team lead, it is very likely I will be hopping back on this project once I have a free project slot again!
